I've been doing a little researching.
Started by trying to open the link in Safari - for Spotify to display a message saying that it wasn't compatible with my browser and prompting me to switch browsers. Interestingly, whilst saying that it wasn't compatible with my browser, it would still play the track, albeit limited to 30 seconds only (ie your experience).
Compatible browsers are Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Opera.
The other option prompted is to play the playlist in the Spotify app. That's a free download (Win, OS X, iOS and - untested by me - Android) and you can create an account with just an email address. You don't need to be a facebookist or a Google accountist (those are just options to make it easier for those who are).
Download the app and use Spotify for free. No payments required. The "cost" you pay is to listen to a couple of ads every 10-15mins, which isn't too intrusive.
TL:DR version - just install the Spotify app
I'll give it a try
3 reasons:
1. Everyone should have a chance to play, and I get that chance at every jam - it’s only fair I sit a few out from time to time
2. I’ve never had a chance to experience the alternate rooms and I’d like to
3. Running the day and playing is really all consuming and I don’t get to sit around and chat, meet people and generally see how everyone is doing
For this one I thought I’d get a more rounded view of how the jams are going if I sit it out and concentrate on running the day and seeing how the other rooms work.
Plenty of vocals slots still available ...
I'm assuming that @ChrisMusic 's comment above means that he's not intending to play on anything. Chasers again to;

That's right @TADodger - didn't work for me in Safari either. Apparently the compatible browsers are Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Opera.
You set a high bar though ...
If anyone is missing out, I'm amazed how many slots I've got - so please give me a shout if you'd like one of mine.
Want to get a chance to hang out in both rooms (and maybe sit near @Bridgehouse)
No complaint and I'm happy to do them all BTW
I would really like to play something with our star drummer (I mean our other star drummer who isn't @mrkb ) so could I please in addition to the above be down for Vox and Guitar (Rhythm) on Come Together and Beat It
Come Together has a very, very cool guitar solo I will try and learn but probably best if someone else takes it if they are actually good!
That's the trouble when I try to do one thing at the same time ...
I'll do vocals on Come Together and Honky Tonk Women FOR THE 2nd RUN THROUGH VERSION (ie WHEN IM NOT ALSO PLAYING GUITAR)
I can also drum Fortunate Son if needed - I know it already.

Just

to claim any slots, or confirm that they don't want any.
As you'll from the list, there are a few tracks that'll need a couple (or more) run throughs ...
Same goes for the vox on All Right Now (Will check the vocal range at the wkend).
Same for vox on Tush.
I'll happily have a go at any of the other vocals if needed.
Wouldn't mind doing rhythm guitar + vox harmonies on Learning to Fly
