i have a cheap old archtop with a pearloid headstock

i guess the only real concern would be finding a thickness that works okay.... a lot of pearloid is 3-ply, should still work but single ply would be better

I guess it would be better if I could find enough to do the scratch plate too. And if it were more cream than white.... Oh boy, this might all be done by Christmas

you can get cream pearloid fairly easily. a 12x18" sheet will be plenty for scratchplate, backplate and headstock

That pearloid is lovely. I see what the guy said about a touch of the Liberace, but on a LP Jnr I think it'll be ace.

Had a pearloid headstock on a Collings 290 once. Looked fantastic in the flesh and I'm not one for gaudy!
