Anyone still using a Boss TU-2?

I know it's absolutely prehistoric and there are even budget clip-on tuners that are more accurate, but it just seems to keep doing a perfectly satisfactory job, and shows every sign of lasting a further 10 years at least.

Sure am. It works fine in my opinion, is built like a tank and matches all the other boss pedals on my board. I see no reason for me to change/upgrade it

Yes, although currently only on bass.

Yes, not sure why I'd change unless it broke/stolen.

Mine does finally seem to be developing the odd quirk here and there. Ever so once in a while it just decides to go a bit mental.

This. It may not be 100% accurate, but it's closer than Hendrix got...

Certainly close enough for anything I do!

I have one on my smaller board and it's working like new. It'll be on there until it dies in 2054.

Is the TC Polytune the standard these days? I don't even know, such has my TU2 lasted. My concern about getting any non-Boss is that I'd lose my buffer at the beginning of my (very very lengthy) pedal chain.

It's accurate, reliable (so far) and not stupid expensive, plus it does the polyphonic thing, so as far as I'm concerned it might as well be.

It's what I bought when I needed a pedal tuner (actually, I should have bought one years before, and if I had it would have been a TU-2), and so far I haven't been disappointed.

FWIW, you can build a simple buffer and a box to put it in for under a tenner.

Don't talk politics and don't throw stones. Your royal highnesses.

I wouldn't know, I just use it for muting the bass between sets :).

Still use one, tried a polytune it wasn't as good as it sucked a bit of tone. I can't see a good reason to spend more money on something that does a job nearly as well as what I've got.

I've got two! Although I'm thinking of getting something with true bypass now I'm using 60s style germanium effects.
