I took my kids to see Timmy Mallett at the BIC in the early 90s. One of the best gigs ever. I kid not.

Also do Milli Vanilli count? They didn't sing on their own records so it wasn't them being crap.

I second the Coldplay thing -I think they are dreary and Dire .......3 chords ,terrible vocals in a failed choirboy voice,overproduced ,overhyped and terrible lyrics that don't fit the metre of the music ....and lots of whoas' to fill the spaces 
.............like bad show-tunes but ten times worse. Exterminate,Exterminate !
