Metal makes my skin sweat, gives a horrible sticky feeling, so I don't wear watches, rings etc. I have no idea where my wedding ring is but my wife has no problem with me not wearing it, I'm an ugly bugger so no one hits on me.

When I got married in 2003, I found the wedding ring a little odd at first but now I don't even notice it. I don't take it off.

Never ever bothered me. I do take my watch off when playing though, but that's because I wear it on my right wrist.
There's an easy way to avoid this damaging your guitar - simply learn to play left-handed....
    Or don't get married..
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

Rings and watches - can't see how they would be a problem. I wear mine all the time. Loose bangles and chains are a different matter. For relicing a guitar perhaps?

I tried that with my Prince Albert ring but I got arrested.

I used to wear a watch all the time. But stopped after about a year of seriously playing guitar. I used to take it off and on, and finally kept it off at all times. I tried with the wedding ring. I really did. But as I was catching the ring on door handles and all sorts, I finally took it off after a couple of years.

My fingers have been swelling over the years. Turned out it's psoriatic arthritis. My wedding ring won't even go over the knuckle now anyway.

I wear a watch and three rings, one of which is on the thumb of my left hand. Half of the internet seems to get its knickers in a twist about the latter whenever we post a video demo but it barely touches the neck, if at all, when I'm playing. Yet people react as if I'm carving great big grooves into the backs of guitar necks. Something tells me that if this was the case, companies would have stopped sending review guitars my way some time ago...

  • I take mine off and put it on a chain around my neck.
SHE CHAINS YOU UP BY THE NECK?!
No you've misunderstood, I have to do that for the audience to see me.
Oh, I thought it was some kind of Return of the Jedi cosplay thing you had going on.

You still haven't explained away your gold bikini.....

I keep my wedding ring on my car keys. Easiest place to not loose it.

Presumably made for pretty awful wedding pictures though?

I take it off, and pop it on the ring finger of my picking hand.

I'm happily divorced but while I was married, the wedding ring was the least of my worries.

Speaking as someone who has lost more than one set of car keys, I must disagree..
