The one where he gets stranded on a desert planet was pretty good.

Wasn't the first one a straight remake of No Man's Land?

Straight remake of Point Break with surfing replaced with street racing I've always thought.

Genuinely shocked it has taken more than Force awakens.

Didn't even like the first one. Just full of all the usual cliches seen in movie car chases. eg when driving down a public road, all the other cars on the road are travelling at the same speed and perfectly offset making a slalom course.

Also I dont understand why they keep needing to change gears when they are supposedly already driving at top speed and in a straight line. I've seen that happen in so many films. Especially when it's the guy at the front supposedly driving as fast as he can to save his life and get away from the evil baddie - then he changes gear and presses his foot a bit more on the accelarator! what? why weren't you flooring it in the first place???

Who gives a toss about souped up Toyotas? Can't believe people pay to watch that stuff.

They all look like shite. Mind you, I haven't seen one second of any of them. Olivier could have auditioned for all I know.

Not a major fan but the franchise is better than Star Wars ..

My mate's lad went to the pictures with his friend and his dad.  When my mate picked his boy up, he asked what they had seen and was told Fast & Furious 7.  The other lad's dad chipped in with "I've seen all of them, but it's starting to get a bit repetitive now."

    Not my cuppa.

And yet, I did quite like death race... Which is truly shite.
The original Death Race 2000 is an utterly shite film. Watch it, it's funny as fuck.

For me, F&F films are the cinema equivalent of TOWIE and all that shite.

I usually only like films which were, or could have been, books. I'm no film snob, it encompasses the majority of cinema releases as far as I'm concerned.

just added it up and realised I've now spent more time reading abou F&F than I have watching the films. Dunno if this is a comment on anything.

I like all three. The original was meant to be social commentary but was just a bit of a crap fillum. Death Race 2 was actually worse though...

I'm glad someone asked this question.  The Fast and Furious franchise is, apparently, extremely popular but (although I'm sure I'm not part of the target audience demographic) I don't know anyone who's a fan, or anyone who has seen more than a couple of them.

Personally, I watch a lot of films.  Some arty and highbrow but an awful lot of mainstream tat as well - superhero movies, dopey action movies, trashy old exploitation movies, bring 'em on.  And I watch hundreds of horror movies, which can be as idiotic as films can possibly get.

But Fast and Furious?  I just don't get them at all.  I've tried to watch one or two of them but there's just nothing there.  I feel like I'm watching a film in a language I don't understand with no subtitle option, whilst slowly coming round from a general anaesthetic in unfamiliar surroundings.  Incomprehensible.
