This is one of just 5 guitars in an extremely limited UK only collection from the Gibson Custom Shop. This gorgeous '58 both looks and sounds the part! A great classic '58 neck profile and a beautiful Washed Cherry which compliments the handpicked lightly figured Maple top. If you are looking for a collectable yet playable '58 then this is the one!

The UK Collection is one of the most exclusive ranges of guitars ever offered by Gibson's Nashville Custom Shop. It comprises just five sets of True Historic spec Les Pauls based on the 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959 & 1960 reissues. All sets feature handpicked tops and factory heavy ageing as well as an exclusive UK Certificate of Authenticity and 'UK' serial number.

I have upgraded the pickups to OX4 pickups, the best PAF pickups around!! Included are the original Custom Bucker pickups.

I am only selling as I have an opportunity to buy a guitar I've wanted for many years and don't want to miss the opportunity.

    I am pretty new to the forum but think the sarcastic lols on someone's pride and joy is low.  A bit like the thick kids at the back sniggering. If you honestly think someone is deluded a reasoned post would be much better.

    I don't mind if people want to LOL...

    This is a reluctant sale, an opportunity has come up to buy a guitar that has been in my life for a long time and didn't know of another way of raising the money! 

    The price is of course less than I payed for it. I'm not in it to make money. If people think the price is ambitious then they should take it up with Gibson Custom Shop... not the guy who saved up for a year to buy it...

    I also think it is childish to lol someone's thread....would love for these people to be brave enough to lol it publicly too...then see their argument for doing so get torn to shreds...it is a lovely guitar and true historics aren't cheap..!!...good luck with the sale.. :)

    This is a very cool guitar imho.

    I hate the lol'ing of FS threads too.  I raised the issue earlier in the year:  http://thefretboard.co.uk/discussion/94200/classifieds-and-loling/p1

    I don't get the "tad ambitious" thing either.  If it's £6,500 in the shops and it's advertised at £5,750.  Any offers around £5,500 or even above £5,000 are going to at least be considered I imagine.  What's wrong with that?
