Overseas registrations

Not sure what section to post this in but just out of interest can anyone tell me if this forum is only open to UK residents? I ask because I met a foreign guitarist recently who said that he tried to register on here a couple of years ago and said he couldn't.

    And so could any of the non-UK residents that we have here as members.

    the usual problem is not spotting the sign-up email in the spam folder ....

    Ah that might explain it. Why does foreign emails end up in spam folder though?

    It's not foreign emails specifically - the cause of most "I couldn't sign up" problems is because the attempted joiner didn't see the sign-up email and so didn't reply to it to confirm their membership.  Because the email ended up in their junk mail folder.
