To be fair, the blurb says it's a reactive load like the kit.

But the 15w amp output would be a deal breaker, the kit would handle a 50w amp.

I imagine AMT do higher wattage versions but I also assume the price moves in the same direction.

To be perfectly honest, I've not found any problems running my 50W Jet City into it. In fact, it gets pretty close to gig volume before hitting the red.

Most people might be quite surprised by how little output power they actually use. With a bigger load box, they might also be surprised by how crap their amps sound when cranked ;)

For 79 euros you can almost get the 15 watt AMT power eater,  (£89) and it comes in a box!
A 15 watt load box isn't really a fair comparison though is it? A better comparison would be the Suhr at £400 odd.

Fair comment, I have no idea if one would sound better than the other. Would the extra £311 make it sound much different

AMT do a 120 watt version for £365. For sure the 15 watt version wouldn't be enough for a 100 Marshall 1959 running at full tilt, but maybe for amps that rely on  preamp distortion 15 watts might be more than enough. I guess if you like power amp distortion look elsewhere!
