I had a guy leave me messages for similar reasons and tell me he was going to burn my house down.

I called him and explained the situation and he calmed down and seemed fine. You've no idea what he's been fed so tell him you haven't been contacting her and offer to give him a ring and have a calm chat.

In my case the bloke felt honour bound to believe his girlfriend which I could understand but just insist that there is no drama intended and you are happy to cease contact.

Worked for me but I grew up on a council estate (don't shoot me Emp) so didn't feel the need to call the police.

Call the police. If he's getting aggy towards you for no real reason, chances are that he'll probably bash her up at the first sign of relationship issues.

I'm glad I called the police - I've just recieved a message from a friend of her's begging me to ignore the messages he sent.

So he obviously knows he's sent threats, she also knows and her friends know. Thankfully the police were contacted, I'm hoping they should turn up at my house soon to talk about it.
