I remember these, they were billed as LP killers when Gibson had been suffering it's Norlin years. They played very nicely out of the box, sustained for your dairy herd to come in and were heavy but not noticably so compared to the CBS fenders and Norlin Gibsons of the era. Carlos santana was the poster boy for the flagship SC2000 and it's Brass lump under the saddle.
I don't think I've ever played a bad one, have you got a Duran Duran shirt too?

It's a grey import from Japan so £760 landed. The case was rotten, mouldy & fucked so gonna get a Hiscox.

@ESBlonde I used to play in a Duran Duran influenced band 25 years ago

*cough* Nice guitars - arguably way more popular than the later models I have.  I wish they'd made an SG with an MSG body shape.

surely the SG2000 and SG1000 (original format with thicker body) have the most credibility amongst MIJ Guitars - I dare say many  Ibanez JS and Jem based fans will add their 10 penneth to that claim, but coming in the late 70's when Gibson and Fender ruled the waves, the SG's led the charge from Japan for a serious contender - I could add the original Ibanez Artist models to this as well, but somehow the SG's trump them - maybe more to do with artist related to playing the SG's as well

congrats Jeztone - I've nearly had mine 40 years now

You sound like my best friend who sold his Vintage 78 Musicman Sabre bass (ex Incognito) for £450 in order to take his vile ex wife on holiday. 12 years later
we still cry in the pub about that one.
