Ffs. So I received my replacement unit today direct from Meris' UK distributors...and it's in exactly the fucking same nick as the last one.  

Am I being too picky here? Is it too much to ask that a brand new pedal costing over £300 should have a flawless finish and not have a warped casing where you can actually see inside the pedal?

Nope. Poor show - i'd be asking them to arrange collection and getting a refund personally. FWIW Source Audio's latest pedals all have a clamshell type construction and there's no gaps to be seen at all with those. These Meris ones are certainly going to be more prone to contamination I guess.

Thanks all. Here's some slightly better audio of the loop; sm58 slung in front of the practice room Blues Deluxe. Still a bit of bleed, and not my amp of choice... but they sound bloody incredible to my ear.

I think probably regrettably the Fig Fumb... convenient space for the Ottobit, and I could substitute the bits of the set on the FF with others. Will still keep it for studio purposes though I think - it's really good.
