I know - I was initially all set to buy a "real" one.  But going gas means I'll actually cook outdoors more than a few times a year, which is all I'd honestly manage if I was using charcoal.

I do play a valve amp though - can I still be part of the gang?

Nice! You've had a BBQ too... that explains the rain we're currently experiencing. I was looking at BBQ grills at Costco earlier and noticed the very loud drumming sound of rain on the roof, I chortled and walked off
