    Some random rantings...

Players with rusty fingers who get upset if I won't let them play my guitars. No because last time you touched my guitar I had to change the strings, screws and pickup covers. Go and corrode your own stuff.

Klon haters, its a pedal. Then when they rant how expensive it is I tell them I paid £200.

Classically trained pianists in a band. No thanks.

This one has been said before but 70s fenders. One exception a 73 strat with frailin s.

Mesa amps, love the concept, build quality looks etc, but Mr  Boogie is it too much to ask to make them sound great with all controls at 12 o clock?

On off switches masquerading as knobs...

Pedals that need some specialist power supply, adapter, crossed fingers and Buddhist  prayer flags just to make it work. Dont these people know that we all use pedalpower 2?

Gain, less is more. Actually less is less and precisely what you need. I know this because I cannot tell the difference between your pointy guitar and my chainsaw,

And finally anyone who isn't in their 50 s play a sunburst les paul into a matchless. You're  all wrong.

i hate the way every other week, Dave Gilmour keeps ringing me up and wanting to jam with me,  Joe Bonamassa wants me to go on tour with him and the ghost of Garry moore wants me to give him private lessons. its also very annoying when i play the local dog and duck I have to endure thousands of screaming women offering me their undergarments. then gibson and fender are constantly trying to foist sponsorship deals upon me. i guess its the cross i have to bare.

Vintage radius Fenders and fretting out, and Fender keep making them by the hundred thousands anyway.

I'll add, people who don't know how to set up a vintage radius Fender guitar to stop it fretting out. ;-)
Go on smartarse. Because raising the action too high to be comfortable and fast is not "setup".
And adjusting a truss rod (if you understand their design) will have minimal effect on the part of the fingerboard at the 15th fret on the high E.

"People posting on classified sites 'Fender Squier' stratocaster. All your searches for Fenders include boatloads of Squiers."

this, obviously also with gibsons and epiphone.

i know why people do it
    1. to try and catch the unknowing newbie buyer.
2.to get more hits on the thing they are trying to sell.

but it pisses me off so much, i wouldn't take it if they were giving it away...
    :p

When you're selling a guitar and someone asks you loads of questions without having any intention of buying the guitar.
Or worse, questions like "your guitar is fake because of this" and when you point out that they're wrong and don't know what they're talking about, they reply with an "oh yeah" again, without having any intention of buying said guitar

Id also like to add "I brought a $100 guitar, put $300 pickups in and it sounds just as good as a custom shop

When people tell you your guitar build should be more like ABC because that's how XYZ does it.

Actually that's just getting me started....

when people know one way to accomplish a task successfully,  and therefore assume all other approaches are incorrect

internet experts who fail to back it up with actual  experience or examples.

Anyone using the word "pup" when they mean pickup. Kill on sight.

It will literally make me immediately ignore the rest of the post/thread.

Other "guitar speak" Americanisms are nearly as bad.

People who call their guitars Shirley, Tonia etc. :o

Fortunately it only appears to be our American friends who indulge in this weird habit.

    I Hate:
     - most of you
     - the music most of you like
     - the videos you watch
     - blackstar amps in the context of tone / build quality
     - fano style guitars that are all faux retro and bullshit
     - the term "boutique"
     - the classifieds
