Dude you should have checked on here earlier someone gave something like this away to another member on here for free and that one was made of actual wood not plastic, same colour too. Could have saved your money.

Yes, I'm a bit contradictory in that I gave one away that looks quite similar but this one is markedly more what I want and the red is nicer, it will contrast nicely with my white resoglas one as well. It is from the same company in fact as my white one, it was a kit guitar bought from America that somebody else assembled, the neck I think is a Kay neck. I intend to get a bridge pickup added, might look at how easy it might be to put an Eastwood Airline neck on it.

I'm excited for it anyway

Only messing mate, it makes a nice change to see someone want something different, I liked the look of your white one and made me look in to the kits myself at one point

New guitar is cool! Upgrade to vintage Valco pickups in the future and it will be all there. Gibsondependable sell them on ebay for about $140 each - they might not be on the agenda immediately but worth thinking about. The Kay neck probably has a feel closer to the originals than a new Eastwood one, but I can see why that would appeal for the looks...
