Pissed it down for 2 days now in Sheffield with very little respite. It used to be called "Flaming June", I'm just calling it "Fuckin' June"

I'm seriously glad I was camping last week! I got a suntan!

Newcastle today has been like monsoon season, lanes on the A1 were closed in several places due to flooding and my Jack Wolfskin now needs re-treating with Tech-wash as it's no longer waterproof!

I've just spent a couple of weeks in Scotland where the weather ranged from hot and sunny to cold and pissing down - often over the course of a single day or even a few hours.  And I always managed to take the wrong clothes for the conditions.  There were two days where the temperature got up to 29 degrees C, which I really wasn't expecting.

Today I'm back in London and I had to wear a coat.  In June.  Unusual.

Left the house for London, at 5am... in a t-shirt with no jacket ... 15 minutes walking to the station, 30 minutes walking from destination station to actual destination ... then on campus for about 8 hours then home... same journey ...

I was a soggy lady when I got home

The week before last, and last week were scorchers.

So far this week it's been wet, and today, windy.

I bought a properly waterproof jacket yesterday.

Anyone want one that looks like it might be waterproof, but leaks at the shoulders?

Can't complain. We've had a pretty good year weather wise so far.  A few windy days with lashing rain is a small price to pay
