Blood Red Shoes, Ty Segall (plus his side projects/collaborations), early White Stripes stuff (especially the rough live stuff off the Third Man label), Metric from Canada.

Just a bunch of my favourite 21st Century acts.

    1980s to 2000s is a MASSIVE period.

    One recommendation, 1983,

    The The    Soul Mining

Other than Pavement, who I love, the albums from that period that have stayed as regular listens for me and still get me every time are:

Spirit of Eden - Talk Talk
She Hangs Brightly - Mazzy Star
The Boatman's Call - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

And even though it's a year too late, from 2001, Roomsound - Califone

    Chuck Prophet - Balinese Dancer.
Some folks like water, some folks like wine.
    My feedback thread is here.

Love Ty Segall, his lead style is awesome. The Fuzz album has loads of good riffs too.
