Disagree entirely. You've just not tried the right amp. When I had, it I would have put my EZG  up against that claim with a £50 note to back it up. It never got flubby in the bass when put through my oversize 2x12 (EVM and Red Fang). At volume it had huge 'authority' and clarity. I never found a pedal that phased it.

However my Rambler is different, it does become a bit untidy when pushed. The power supply in the EZG is considerably beefed up in comparison to the AB763 circuit that its a clone of.

Doesn't Fargen do this? I can't remember what it's called, but I am certain it is a blackface clean with marshall 2nd channel. DBS or something.
He was flavour of the month a couple of years ago, sort of like Friedman is now. 

I also recommend a Mesa LSS. A great 2 channel amp which I have. Beautiful fender cleans with a great roaring channel 2...

The Friedman Buxom Betty is billed as fender clean but sounds marshally when wound up. 

Single channel only though, and massively loud but sounds good at low volume.

I've got one set clean/edge of breakup and have a Friedman BE-OD for a Marshall type drive.

Well I've decided what I want is going to involve compromise somewhere so I've a ordered a new amp today that is neither Marshall or Fender.

But is something I've wanted for around three years.
