Im using a Mac, can I do some sort of Hot key trickery so I can press one button to insert a website address into a post?

I want to be able to insert our Bandcamp link quickly in posts.

Nope. In Mac OS, that shortcut is reserved for Close Window.

get flycut so you can just do shift+cmd+v and then left/right arrows to scroll through all the different saved texts you may want to paste

If you don't want to copy and paste all the time then you can take advantage of the MacOS built in text substitution function.

Go to system preferences | keyboard | text
click on + to add a new substitution eg mbc (replace)  http://you.link.to.spam (with)

now every time you type mbc in an app that supports substitution, a little pop up with your substitution text will appear for you to immediately select (via click or by hitting space/tab).

Unfortunately, if you want to use this in a web browser then only Safari supports this. Also some javascript editors can interfere with this behaviour on some forums/forms.

If you're in a browser like Chrome F6 should even select the address bar if you're really wanting keyboard-short-cut-madness ...

Cmd+L selects the address bar. Apple F-keys all have other functions by default.
