Acid attacks in London

There's  nothing new in this sort of thing. In the 1980's Doormen/Bouncers carried bottles of ammonia in demister bottles. Used to use it on each other in battles between different "firms". 
The difference in the current epidemic is that Joe Public is being targeted and they're getting robbed as a result.
I'm not getting into the Asian men/women debate, that's entirely separate.

Agree.
This isn't dealing drugs to people that want them, or nicking something in order to sell it to get some money.
I can kinda see the reasoning behind doing that- even if I don't agree with it.
Throwing acid in people's faces is premeditated by definition and it is just beyond the pale- the consequences for victims is lifelong and IMHO the punishment should be a life sentence.

Govt rhetoric about it is bollocks. The power to give a life sentence is already there in Section 18 OAPA.

Yup. Only on licence though if they get life. So they can get pulled in again for a parking ticket.
