Been a bit quiet here - super busy!

    However....

New Tele body and neck courtesy of @GSPBASSES on the way. I'll try the neck on the 49 prototype to see what it's like, whilst the tele body gets some treatment ;)

New thread coming for those two PJ basses....

No that I'm judging but I can't help but feel this has escalated a bit from the original scope of this project !

Well now.. here's the next stage of this little project....

I have a neck. I have an Esquire logo for it. And I have some tint for it too. Job for tomorrow methinks...

Gave it a 1200 grit wet sand for a silky smooth finish

    And bolted it on...

    Tuner ferrules in..

Now or I know I know, it's naughty etc.. but... this one isn't going anywhere, and it's applied on top without lacquer so it can be removed ;)

It's had a setup now, and some tweaking so this one is done.

All up, it was under £200 to do (I reckon about £180)

How does it sound? Twangy. Gritty. Ballsy. Very very ballsy. It's not subtle in any way...

I put this very similar guitar together last week. I'm not responsible for the pyrography (or any of the aesthetics at all) though!

The pickguard is a Gretsch shape, laser cut from Tor-tis then hand bevelled and polished.

The control plate is a cowboy belt buckle.
