considering as some the soul numbers we do might sound even better with some authentic organ sounds...

anyone got experience ( good or bad ) with one of these?

They work well, but you need to use different techniques. Regular strumming and picking don't work.

I bought one but never use it if you wanna buy it!

Oh, on a fairly recent gig, the venue couldn't provide a Hammond style keyboard that. We needed, and came up with a clavova. We put it through the EHX B9 and it was perfect.

  • I had the eqd pedal that does the same thing to an extent and was fun. But not enough to keep

Like a with MIDI Guitar controller, your picking hand techniques need to be tidy to avoid mistriggering.

I have considered buying the B9 but decided against. Firstly, I prefer the presets of the C9 model. Secondly, much of what I wanted from either of these pedals could be achieved with the EHX Lester G pedal. Its combination of compression, overdrive and rotary cabinet fulfilled the pad sound brief nicely.

Mine has a noticeable volume boost when engaged but ok if you stick to triads and try and emulate organ comping stuff...

I bought one, played with it for a bit and then moved it on as I knew I'd never really use it apart from  a couple of songs. It's pretty convincing in a band mix though. If I recall, there was something odd about the switching and wet/dry mix.

I would say, worth a punt second hand.
