Gibson Map Of America Guitar

What's Hot

I have literally never ever seen one of these, until now that is....... what a ridiculously awful guitar and everyone talks about how Gibson have gone down the pan "these days" and they're making crazy decisions. I think it's been going on a while somehow.

Didn't the bird out of raging slab play one? Same shape, can't remember if it was a Gibson, though..
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

Looks like she had more than one according to Google Images, I'd never heard of them either. Any good?

Only really heard dynamite monster boogie concert album, and saw them live, once.. Don't know what the rest is like, but I like dmbc!

I'll have to check em out, love seeing girls rock guitars. Slightly misogynistic I know but what can I say it does it for me, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, The Runaways, The Breeders, The Go Go's, Belly, D'arcy from the Pumpkins etc...

They forgot to include Alaska and Hawaii....

It should come with a hat the shape of Alaska and a pick the shape of Hawaii.

I'm not sure it's misogynistic... I quite like to see girls/women being able to do anything they fancy, whether that's playing guitar, bass, drums, driving a truck.. anything, really.. I've got a grown up daughter, and I never liked the idea of anything being off limits to her, simply because of her gender..
And like you, women rocking guitars.. yup!

Just googled, and it appears she passed away, recently.. bummer!

God knows these days, I don't see it being different to girls eyeing up Slash, Page, EVH and the rest........ I have 15yr old twins and I have the same thoughts with them about stuff being off limits, although they've never took to the guitar (yet).

Yeah I saw that, only 56 as well.... too young really.

Those were originally built for trade show display purposes. They also appeared in advertisements in the Melody Maker.*
