Every first Saturday in August, on the anniversary of the birth of theFretBoard, I make an annual £20 donation via PayPal Gift to theFretBoard@outlook.com as a "Friend of theFretBoard", just to keep things ticking over. I was busy yesterday so I've only just done so, perhaps you might like to do the same in order to make life easier for @TTony and his fellow modmins?

I recall round about Christmas time this year TTony was stressing slightly about how best to raise the funds necessary to keep this show on the road, lots of people just chipped in a tenner or so and removed the need for him to do any specific fundraising for a while, it's probably time for a general top-up to the FretBoard coffers I reckon.

Maybe it's worth tFB setting up a https://gocardless.com account so we can sign up for a regular donation, monthly, yearly, whatever.

Bump to say that I've just made a contribution.

@TTony ; Why not sticky this so the thread stays at the top of the list?

I know who that was and he's a friend.
It doesn't surprise me that he said that, he's one of the best.

    Thanks for doing that man.
I'll be doing mine in a couple of weeks when I can.

    Just checked my calendar.
Mine is around 22nd of the month.

This place means a massive amount to me.

I'll be making mine a small (£10) but regular donation on a monthly basis so across the year that'll be £120.

When I looked at what I spend my money on each month and how much goes where, I realised how little that £10 is in the scheme of things but how being a regular payment will add up to a decent amount each year.

I'm more than happy to do it and wish I'd done it sooner.

    Thanks @TTony @digitalscream @monquixote @Roland @Jalapeno ;;

The best friends I've ever had have come into my life through this place and all the best gear I've ever owned, plus some of the best times buying and using it are all because this exists.
At 3am when I can't sleep and any other time I've got some mental space it's my hangout and my main source of 'what's going on'.

My Family has also been helped in very direct ways more by the members here, than even our own families did or ever would. In many ways we've all come to see The Fretboard as Family.
I'm very proud to be part of this community.

    Very, very proud.

Thanks all for the donations and extra thanks @alnico for the kind words.

If it wasn't for the all the hosting charges, I'd have been able to buy my slice* of Caribbean Beach with the all donations through the years.

    * well, a couple of grains of Caribbean beach, if I'd travelled over there to get it myself, in economy, during the off season, by boat (self-propelled) ...
    :D
