Of course if it's 9ct you might want to replace it at some point did to them wearing out... 

It's great that gold is so recyclable though - should you ever wear out a ring or damage it a jeweler can melt it down and remake it (maybe adding a bit more of its needed) so you get to keep the same ring you started with - in such cases though, make sure that's what they did and that they didn't just order a new wedding ring blank ...
