Surely people shop around a bit and compare prices.  I wouldn't have thought Andertons/PMT would sell many at that price.  That said, if that was the price everywhere it wouldn't be too expensive IMO

Preparing for the 'summer sales' or 'Black Friday deals', perhaps?

Has that just put the UK price of Helix Native up then?

Richtone has three LT's in stock at £725 - it was getting to a price where it was almost worth a punt for me, at £900+ not a chance. Unfortunately other things I want right now so can't take advanatage of the 725.

Surely this is it as Moe says? Just so that they can use the 'previously sold at x price' line in the sales without getting hit by trading standards? The supermarkets do it all the time (you know that cheap bottle of table wine they suddenly mark-up to over a tenner just so they can mark it down again to what it's worth when it's 'on deal') why should high profile music shops be any different?

Retailers usually pull that "discounting" trick by jacking the price up in a single store in the arse of nowhere, not all their stores.  So it could be the Brexit effect on the Pound, or scalping gits using Brexit as an excuse to jack you.

GuitarGuitar prices gone up to over £1400 for the Helix Floor over the last two hours. I asked their online help and they said that is the price they now are.

Wonder who gets the additional money for the stock they already own?!

So that is PMT/Andertons and GG. Only a matter of time before the rest follow.

BTW - they told me it is due to the £ and much higher 'costs'.

A chunk of it will be currency (pound bombing against the dollar) and I known Thomann and BAX have massive buying power and stock the full Line6/Yamaha/Steinberg range). Not sure about Andertons - they are big on guitars and amps rather than tech.

As has been suggested, it might be that they sold the stock they had at an appropriate price given what it cost them, and now they're selling the new stock at an appropriate price given what it is now costing them.

I just snagged one of these. It said "1 in stock" when I placed my order.

I just bought a Hx Floor from DV247 for £1032.
Their online price has just gone up to £1199 this weekend. Prices definitely seem to be rising as shops replace stock.

Massive differences in the price of a new Line 6 Helix. Why?
Also - how come Andertons and PMT have the exact same price (and nearly £400 more than another retailer)?
    Have I missed something?

Have you ever bought anything from bax-shop?
I have. Unfortunately for you, they have an American office cleaner, so you can't buy from them.

I didn't realise they had fallen down to close to £1000. I'm tempted again. Although the Boss MS-3 is probably all I need ...

Mine arrived. A friend came over with his as I finished work...and he said 'try mine' before I opened mine.

Well, I'm kinda glad I did. He has tweaked his and to be honest, I still prefer my amps and pedals. My initial plan was for an MS-3 with a few pedals for a small board for guitar and bass, and the ES-8 with many other pedals for a larger setup.

It's a hefty bit of equipment as well. I don't think I need something that does this much so despite it being a good price, the MS-3 is probably much more suitable for me.

PMT online now £1032 for the full fat helix ( last week they were at £1418).

So there's still no logic behind it.

    The power - Mwahahahaha!

PMT at £1,032 now as well for full fat helix

...and BAX shop have put theirs up a bit to £1056

Looks like the massive price differences have evaporated. Still confused about why there were there in the first place.

For what it's worth, I just bought my Helix LT for £725 £754 from Gear4Music. Which, frankly, I regard as a fucking bargain.

    EDIT: Got the price wrong

Have Line 6 cut the price?
