    Is that intended to be the mains inlet/IEC beside the two jack sockets?   A bit of separation between mains and signal is usually, well, wise.

    I trust the safety and protection points from earlier will already have been grasped, so need not be repeated (though it doesn't look like you've any cover plates there).

    I wanted an iec mounted on the side of the board for because I think it just looks neater. Also a thicker cable is less likely to get snagged etc.
    the picture I put on today I think shows a little of the work in progress board to give you an idea. 

    Then simply mount a normal three pin socket to the underside of the board - wire that to the IEC and plug the supplied power supply into the socket. Simples. :-)

  • I did think of that as an option but wouldn't fit with the large supplied power supply. 
    All sorted and working great now though thanks.
