Oh yes it is! In fact, one of the only repairs I've done on one of these which was definitely *not* the amp's fault was one where the owner thought that you could record it silently like that, with no speaker attached .

It actually did less damage than most of the ones involving the board arcing when the amp is being run correctly...

FWIW I used to own a TSL60 , no issues! I remember in the 2000's gary moore was using a dsl2000 live
