Take your pick from any of Blondie's back catalogue.

And we've all heard the opening a million times, but I still think this a belter.  Textbook pop song structure, and a great solo which fits the song:

Is this going to be another thread where everyone posts their favourites and no-one listens to anyone else's?

I don't mind, I just like to know.

Yes. If you hang around long enough, every song that contains the merest whiff of guitar will get mentioned. Anyway who has the time or the interest to listen to every suggested track?
I like to listen to these tracks in the time I would otherwise be spending shaving.

Probably time to buy yourself a new blade :)

I'll nominate this one. My dad had/has an album called "British Gold" with stuff like Resurrection Shuffle, Something In The Air, Hey Joe (??), and this one, among others.

Great pop song, and that intro lick/arpeggio thing is insanely catchy!

    (I'd post a video, but I've no idea how!  :3 )

Have a wiz. As near as damnit perfect. There's a live vocal version on Youtube which is fantastic.

A mate was in California a couple of weeks ago and saw "Badfinger" (Joey Molland and some bored-looking locals) play a music store. Apparently the between-song banter was splenetic, and who can blame him. Horrible backstory for a wonderful band.
