fret point confusion

Just noticed that my profile  (i don't look at it much) says I have 915 points, but when I post it says I only have 806.   Ive been here since the beginning and don't understand why these are different.  I am special?

That's because points (of which you have 915) is points, and frets (of which you have 806) is frets.

There's correlation between the two measures, but points include all your other recognitions - such as length of membership, etc.

Would it not make more sense to display the total points instead of the frets, given that no-one really sees the points the frets give a false impression of each members value.  Ive been waiting for my 1000 for a long time.
