Just strip a bare bit of wire long enough to go across those two switch tags to the side of the pot.
Then the resistor from the tag to the back of the pot.
Then your jack socket cable braid connects the pots together.
Dont forget that wire coming from the bridge goes to ground too.
I'll report back! HUGE thanks!

@TTony - do you have yours setup with 9s/10s/otherwise? This is still setup for 9s and, I think, the stock nut. Considering putting on my usual 10s but don't just now want the faff of changing it. Good call on the IGs. The Tesla Sharks are spot on.

If you if had to re-write this Discussion, you could probably create a better description of the original problem. Confidence and understanding would leave you less angry and frustrated. Photographs usually minimise misunderstandings and save a whole bunch of typing. You might even feel able to remotely diagnose a similar issue for somebody else.
It is often difficult to decide how to pitch a written reply to questions of this sort. Treating a stranger like a novice may come across as patronising. Assuming full knowledge may confuse the person seeking assistance. Every case is different.
The best thing about this Discussion is that you have shown respect to professorben for his input.

The problem at SDUGF was that the forum became inundated with new recruits from Fæcesbook. These numpties had been led to believe the friendly forum regulars would happily provide the sort of aftersales assistance that SD company staff could not be arsed to provide ... and give up their time for free.
Young people today do not value anything that can be obtained for free. They not only take the assistance for granted, they seem to believe that they are ENTITLED to it.
For supporting evidence of my assertions, check out the SDUGF Bassment forum zone. Since mid-2016, almost all awkward bass wiring questions have been fielded by SD staff. Their replies almost always refer the questioner back to the standard wiring instructions supplied with the product. (Conveniently sidestepping the fact that the standard wiring instructions fail to satisfy the customer's non-standard requirements.) So much for customer support.
There used to be a couple of idiots who tackled the difficult/custom/bespoke/weird wiring questions. One of them used the forum ID Blue Talon.
There have been only a few times when I have been annoyed by this anybody within this community - and I for one am grateful for the support. Hats off to y'all.
