I find the clean channel of the Hot Rod goes from nothing to too loud at gig volumes let alone home use. So I invented this -1

Just pop it into the top of an HRD or Blues Deluxe and Voila ...instant master volume

(Manual, pg7) Plugged into the jacks indicated at ‘O’ ?

    It’s a properly earthed voltage divider ?
Not got a manual to hand but it plugs into the pre amp out  \ power amp in sockets on top of the amp and yes it's a simple potential divider
How could you use it with FX pedals in loop ?
Ah if you use pedals in the loop then it's a different design which is basically just a box containing a volume pot  (in my case a tuna can containing a volume pot which can be bypassed for a clean boost :~) )

Danny how do use FX pedals in loop and a volume box at same time ?
It's a series loop on the Fenders ... so if the last device in the pedal chain is the volume box then it will work exactly the same as not using any pedals

@sm55onl will dig it out tomorrow and take a shot

I'm having this issue with a Peavey Classic 30 at the moment. I have to move the clean volume exactly 4 degrees clockwise for home playing volume. Any lower and it's silent, any higher and the neighbours complain and my cat wees itself.

I absolutely love the amp for gigging though, it's so loud and the tone is great on both channels.
