RG550 back for 2018!

Very tempted to get an RG. I bought a charvel san dimas last year which i love so not sure if an RG is basically just more of the same

Similar in that they are both superstrats, but the neck on the RG is completely different from anything else.

RG necks are thinner with flatter fretboard, the Charvel's are closer to a strat C-shape if memory serves. Also RG are all 24 frets, odd model might be 22, whereas the San Dimas are mostly 22.

I own a Charvel  So Cal and a couple of RG550s. Different beasts, playing wise and have very different sound to them.  I'd say that owning one of each wouldn't be a bad thing!

Absolutely agree. I've been blown away by mine these past few weeks, & Guitarguitar hooked me up with the difference so I could get a case for it.
