Love the mock-ups. Give you a proper idea of the finished product. Amazing the different character rosewood/maple/sratchplate colour etc makes to a guitar. Keep em coming man!

Not much on this one. This will sport edge dings and checking. But no arm wear or major buckle rash.

It’s very enjoyable having a room full of bits sitting around to do mock ups with. Always good to see the difference in a colour when you swap between rosewood and maple necks.

Thank you, I’m particularly excited by this one. Fully sculpted forearm contour and tummy cut, dowel marks, paint nail holes, hardware tan lines… stunning burst (sorry, moment of arrogance). Thankfully I know I can repeat this no problem so I should be able to detach myself from wanting to keep it

Quite an unpopular finish choice (although I love it!) is the opaque mid 60s style 3 tone burst. So, in protest I decided to shoot this jazzmaster body. A bound big block neck would finish it beautifully

I’m on a sunburst roll at the minute. I’m really digging shooting them and I love that they’re well received. Today, a few more jazzmaster bodies were in the firing line. This time I did a more trans 3 tone to show off the grain

It’s a close call, I think sunburst will always win for me though. I am a sucker for colour but there’s just something about the 3 tones that gets me.
