@thegummy never realised there was a Hendrix one, off to amazon I go.
That's one of my fav ones cause it has the separate burning guitar.

Also added Hetfield to the funko band.

Would love a double denim Rory Gallagher or an SRV but I won't hold my breath lol

  • Such a fantastic rundown! Adam Day always goes into really interesting detail.
That beaten up plain top Les paul is what first got me into guitars. Still remember a Gibson advert from the early 90s with that instrument as the centre piece. Could only stretch to a Washburn copy back then :-)
Also vivid memories of the Tokyo and Paris UYI tour gigs on VHS with Slash hammering the crap out of that guitar. Amazed it's still going.
    Awesome stuff

  • +1 to all that. Loved those videos.
It's a shame I've never gotten on with Les Pauls as I think they look the business!

Who was the guy asking the questions? He was like something straight out of Bill and Ted :D

it's key for me that he still uses the 1996 sig amp - which for me was a killer marshall amp, I think my favourite, I'd snap one of these up again in a heartbeat if one came up.
It was just a Jube reissue with Slash's name on it I think - you can just grab the silver Jube reissue instead...

Lol I really like that guy I think he's a great interviewer

  • Interviewer is John Bollinger I think - I actually really like his laid back style. I think he's quite respected as a player and so manages to connect with guitarists from lots of different genres. Bu any more laid back and he'd be horizontal .

lol he sounds like something from Bill and Ted and looks a bit like Josh Brolin.

I think he's the best interviewer PG have.  He's got charisma and asks the right questions, there were some old interviewers who didn't seem to have a baldy.

  • The thing the interviewer does is let the people talk. This was a good one because the techs and fortus were engaged. When he gets people who need cajoling it can be painful to watch.

The Alice Cooper RR is also good with the players talking, as is the Brian May RR with his tech.
