@BintyTwanger77  well I only used a sd1 anyway as I mostly use my amp distortion, I actually haven't had chance to play it through my big amp yet but the drives through my little amp sound fine, especially the blues driver and tube screamer clone. All in all I'm well happy with it.

Our singer managed to drop a can of beer on it. It's being serviced now and is going to be fine thankfully, but it's given me the fear so it's not going back on my board; it'll be reserved for use at home / studio / with the synths. When I searched completed listings on eBay for them to estimate the cost of replacing it whilst fearing the worst, it very quickly became apparent that replacing it isn't really a viable option! They're selling reasonably consistently around the £1000 mark now, so I bought a Timeline for live!
@GavRichList who's fixing the Moog for you? A mate of mine needs a pedal fixed and I don't know who's any good round our way. Is it Howard Whassname in Clarendon Park?

Don't talk politics and don't throw stones. Your royal highnesses.

Howard's done a couple of simple pedal repairs for me, but the Moog went off to Source distribution in London - its who Moog recommend in the uk. Given that it's hella complicated and valuable, I didn't want to take any risks.

    Slight update:

Replaced the Fulltone 70 with a Suhr Rufus, the Belle Epoch with an Alexander Amnesia and went back to the Marshall reflector after trying a Digitech.

Unusual not to use the Blackstone first in the chain? When I had mine (now lamented) it definitely preferred the guitar directly into it.

@downbytheriver , I have it set to buffered mode plus rolling off the vol control gives more thrills with a fuzz.

After the latest rebuild. Added a second M5 and moved everything on to an Innox PB06 (approx Pedaltrain Novo 32 / PT Pro size)

    Guitar > buffered patchbay > Polytune mini > BYOC Divided Octave > BYOC 5 knob compressor > [M5 #1] > [M5 #2] > Zendrive clone > Screwdriver Deluxe clone > patchbay > Laney Lionheart > patchbay > [M5 #2] > Boss DD-500 (w/ Vein Tap Skinny Little Twins footswitch) > [M5 #1] > Mosky XP Booster > patchbay > amp.

The two pedals with the top mounted jacks at the back are order switchers- the M5s are in one of the two loops on each, which switch them between two positions in the signal chain. Dead useful for getting the most out of the M5s.

Currently running off three different power supplies (one each for the M5s, One Spot for everything else. M5s don't do daisy chaining), no MIDI link to the second M5, and needs a thorough tidy up underneath (missus), so not quite done yet.

Don't talk politics and don't throw stones. Your royal highnesses.

@english_bob ; Nice do you have separate loops or are all of these in series?

Thanks! All in series. The order switchers just control what the series is.

There's a buffer built in to the patchbay so not much in the way of capacitance and general "tone-suck".

The switchers, expression pedals and patchbay make it look like there's more going on than there is IMO- there's "only" nine pedals on the board.

Don't talk politics and don't throw stones. Your royal highnesses.

I tried to lay out a downsized board but didn't even bother wiring it up before giving up. Where are the fun pedals going to go? http://i.imgur.com/HmtRWep.jpg

Ooh, you've a loomer? Whilst I can do all the noises within it... still kinda appeals. Good?

Yeah the Loomer's worth it for the Focus reverb mode alone, but my whole guitar sound is basically running the Blast Furnace into it. The fuzz on the Loomer really isn't that 'fuzzy' so the Fuzzrocious gives it a bit of velcro, and has the momentary delay to really get epic.

Nice to see a MS-3 around here.
I wasn't expecting much from the drives but they're actually very good!

I made this convertible board around the MS-3:

Big board is going through a grand re-design, so here's an Ikea duck board I saved from a skip at work.

A couple of changes to the signal chain which work very well - fuzz into wah and tremolo after delay.

Wah g'wan?  Image no worky, photobucket nor imgur...ah well...
