It's an awful insipid dull song that just happens to have been playing in every sodding shop I went into this morning. It was driving me berserk.
Every time I hear it I'm in no doubt whatsoever that the wrong Beatle got shot.
Cos it reminds me of the first gf I had -- it was one of her favourites (and she'd got it from her older sister).
The song itself isn't too bad and there's always that little connection with the time I first heard it.
A time bound up with learning to play guitar and Players No. 6.
i was 16 or 17 and had not long joined the RAF. I was training at RAF Cosford which is close to Wolverhampton so it was played everywhere in town that year. It still brings back memories of a magic time to me!
