That strategy would definitely attract a handful of people to spending £3,000 on a Junior... but puts off dozens of people (like me) from buying one at all

Gibson has given the world several all-time classic electric guitars. At the time of launch, many of the designs were highly innovative. After a few decades, the buying public takes those classics for granted and, supposedly, seeks further novelty.
