Short stubby fingers = what guitar ?

I'm in a similar boat although I played for 15 years before I realised my fingers are quite short (I have large hands but they're all palm). I have never had issues playing Fenders and even though I've recently switched to a Les Paul I don't find scale length makes a huge difference. 

Biggest issue I have faced is necks that are Fat, Flat and Wide. Remove any two of those and I cope fine but my Larrivee L-02 ticks all three boxes - unfortunately.

As an aside, I was lucky enough to see Warren Ellis play with Nick Cave recently and he has enormous hands, yet seems to play online tiny instruments
