I'll be ****ed if I can find any pedals that 'qualify'... seems like 90% of what's on offer are sold by third-parties, save for a few pieces of junk made by Chinese companies I've never heard of. Would have grabbed an Op Amp Big Muff otherwise. Thanks though, I'm sure I can find something, even if it's just a Steely Dan songbook.

Just worked for me - though a Garden Fork and a couple of CDs might not be what most people here are looking for.

I need a new electric toothbrush.  That's about £20.  Just need to figure out if there is anything else I need, or just buy £30 worth of strings.

Said by someone who wishes he'd done exactly that a few decades ago, and thus might not be headed for (more) oral surgery next week ...

I've had an electric one for years, and it's a huge improvement over the old style ones.  The problem is that the battery has had it.  It doesn't last long, and it also doesn't seem to be that good even with a full charge.  I accidentally picked up my daughters one the other day, and the motor was a lot faster than mine.  I don't think the battery can supply enough current any more.

This is similar to my old one for £17.49:

I know from experience that is a lot better than a conventional toothbrush, but I don't know what the difference between that and the more expensive one you posted is.  Does the more expensive one make much difference?

To be honest, I don't know -  I've never tried the cheaper ones.

They all use the same heads so I'm not sure how much difference there is.

The more expensive ones have Lithium batteries rather than NiMH, and they have sensors to tell you if you are brushing too hard.

In the back of my head I have an idea that you are a celiac? Seems to have a link with dental problems - when undiagnosed it causes gum problems and there are issues with specialist celiac foods being higher in sugar than the glutteny equivalents.
My teeth aren't brilliant through neglect and toffees.

I have a stack of stuff in my Amazon basket. All of which I can really live without. Hmmm.

That's the issue.  I need a toothbrush.  I almost ordered one last night from Amazon.  I'm trying to think of something else I actually need to make this deal worthwhile, that won't involve me buying something that I wasn't going to buy otherwise.

At the moment, I can' really think of anything else that I would want to buy though if it wasn't for this deal.  Stocking up on strings seems like the only option.

I've had a few Braun Oral B toothbrushes over the years. My current one, a 3000 model with the pressure warning light, has been fantastic. The battery wore out (taking a day or two to charge then only lasting 2-3 days) so I bought a new battery from eBay for about £15 and after some careful soldering it's as new. Charges overnight and lasts a fortnight.

The one I got wasn't mad-expensive but has a little display thing you stick on the wall and it times you so you do your two minutes.

Also if you do two minutes it has a smiley face which is nice. If you do two and a half it winks at you. I can't decide if I'm happy about my toothbrush winking at me so I stick to two minutes. It seems a bit inappropriate for something that sits in a cabinet waiting to be stuck in my mouth.

I think this is the current equivalent.
