I'd see if you can do it with one of the DiMarzio 3-way 4-pole toggle switches, mounted at right angles to your strumming so that it doesn't move even if you do hit it.
Maybe a 5-way with stronger detents? @ICBM may know which ones are least knockable.
Alternatively, change to a 3 mini-toggle arrangement (on-off for each pickup)
Is this a tall switch, compared say to Fenders? I make it about 23mm vertical.

- and will fit slightly further down the shaft as well, overlapping the 'step'.
If that doesn't fix it, you may need a custom pickguard with the switch at a straighter angle between the volume and tone pots and maybe the volume control moved up a bit if there isn't room, or if you don't use the tone pot, down where the tone control is.
I find this an issue on Strats too - my favourite position is the middle, and my least favourite the bridge+middle... guess what always happens.

The selector switch on the OP guitar is 50-65mm away from the high E string. There is nothing to strum down there. It is wasted energy.

I'm tying to jump about in my bedroom playing Rockin' In The Free World. Not perform brain surgery.
Ta for suggestions all.
That doesn't help on this guitar though!

I meant the old ones with the toggle switch which is really behind the bridge.
