One of the things that annoys me most about playing guitar is the inevitable 'buckle rash' caused by belt buckles scratching the back of the guitar.
Having looked around online a few years ago I came across Musicians Belt (
http://www.musiciansbelt.com/) and bought one of the weave belts. It's great, and I may buy another, but there are times when my outfit doesn't warrant it or I simply want to wear a proper belt.
I know the answer of "don't wear a belt" but other than that, how do people avoid damaging the back of their guitars?

Just because you're paranoid, don't mean they're not after youSeriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself
Not a problem these days as I never tuck my shirt/T Shirt in.
If 80's fashions come back then not sure.
Simple yet effective, and stylish to boot.
Its also free and you can turn it back after playing.
You used to be able to buy stick on pads that protected the back of the guitar but dunno if they are still available.
I'm less bothered about my electrics, more the acoustics
Wear spandex
Or sportswear
Or hitch your guitar up and wear nothing at all
Or only ever play guitar in your bedroom

Or wear the buckle to the side.
Or cover the buckle with a bar towel or similar.
Or get a buckle thats a virgin and can't give you a rash.
It gives me the shudders watching people play guitars with big lumpy watches and metal straps, rings, leather zippy jackets etc. Still it's there guitar and they won't do it with mine.
