Strat Pickups, are they supposed to be out of line like this?

Just thought I'd note in this thread - was just looking at the Edge signature Strat and it has Fat 50s pickups but the pole pieces aren't staggered like they are on the normal version of that pickup.

Right then, having played this for a few days I can honestly say these pickups are way way too loud, they make the right noises but way too loud, the d and g strings take a light touch to stop them over powering everything else. What if I removed the resin, unglued it, would the pole piece then be able to drop down?

They're at the right height aren't they Rob?

Did you fret it at the top fret to measure the pickup height?

They look really low fella, a lot lower than I would have thought they should be, it could just be me after a long week, but I have also noticed they don't like gain, clean they sound pretty good but with gain they sound a little pants, I will have a play with the heights later tonight.
