Who makes a Tele with a contoured body and a stratty neck pickup ?

I love the bridge pickup of a Tele, just killer but i struggle to play them standing up as the body is just too angular against my forearm (sacrilege i know) so i'd like a contoured body, either both back and front or just the back would help.
Also i like a stratty neck pickup so does anyone know of a Tele with a contoured body and stratty neck pickup ?

The easiest thing is just to mod any standard tele body.

Don't Fender Telecasters (US ones) have a contoured back?

There's one among Fender's Parallel Universe series, available later this year - can't remember which month off the top of my head. It has three Strat pickups, though, so you'd need to find a Tele-alike replacement for the bridge position.

Or just buy a Warmoth tele body with any contour or routing you want.

Fender makes what you want. It's a 2012 onwards American Standard Telecaster.  It's got a belly cut and a twisted Tele neck pickup which is stratty in nature

Fender American Deluxe & Elite have a body contour. It might be an idea to use this as a basis and swop out the neck pickup? The S1 switch may also offer some additional tones you may like?

ok thanks for the info, i didn;t know the new US strats had body contours, the only 2 Teles i've had were a Baja and a Custom Shop. I liked the twisted tele in the Baja a lot too, so that sounds like it might be a winner

Wow... that's the only Tele with Strat contouring I've *ever* seen which looks right. The smaller pickguard and the 'halfway house' rounding on the other edges make it perfect. It would even look OK with a Strat neck pickup.

At the other extreme, I'm not even going to quote the post with the Anderson because it's such an abomination - showing just how to get absolutely everything wrong about combining the two. 'Mongrel' is apt... but dog is closer.

That sounds exactly like the sort of tele I'd make, I really like a strat neck pickup and would put one in a dc junior when I get round to it
