Much as I treasure my guitars which are beautifully made and give me great pleasure, they are quite gender neutral and referred to as "it" in the same manner as other expensive and treasured possessions. They are tools which do a job, hindered only by the shortcomings of the owner. Does referring to them as "she" as in many adverts indicate true affection or is it unbearably pretentious? I genuinely don't understand why but I do have a view
On the same subject, I have never yet seen a guitar for sale which has had an "amateur set-up." It's always just had a "pro set-up."
Also, whilst I'm here, what's all this about mojo and butter?

They're perverts.
You don't want to buy a guitar from a perve, do you?
Whatever you do, don't call her "it".
Anyway it's all about self-defined gender these days.
