Another 4" off the width of the body (2" either side, natch) and it would almost be pleasing to the eye.

I spotted that ages ago and thought about buying it for parts. Used R-Trem will fetch £50/£60, then there's 3 Dimarzios IIRC which is a good £120 or so. The headpiece depending on origin could also be worth £20. Or the other option is just to transplant the lot including neck to a new body which would raise its value substantially.

It would be a shame to destroy it. It doesn’t look badly made, and the parts are not rare.

Indeed. That won't be happening during my ownership.

Future changes though:

a. There's a rogue ground issue somewhere - need to check the wiring.
b. I'll be considering a refret with chunkier fretwire.

Single volume.
Kill switch.
On/Off for each pickup.
