Without wishing to start a whole Chappers bashing thread.........

What's Hot
Have any of you owned/played for a reasonable amount of time, an ML3 Pro or Pro modern?
Do you still own it? How do you find it generally? What's good?, What's bad?

Not in the least bit interested on your views of the man himself or his company.
Put that aside and tell me about the axe in it's own right and in your own humble opinion.

Thanks.
All the right notes, not always in the right order!

I tried an ml3 pro, it was pretty ordinary. could have been an LTD or Schecter. Decent build and set up though, not something I’d want to own as I do think they’re a bit overpriced compared to a similar spec ibanez

I’ve played the ML-3 RC sig. It felt like a quality piece of kit if a bit of a lump weightwise. Didn’t like the neck profile too much but that was utterly subjective there was nothing ‘wrong’ or ‘bad’ about it

  • I tried one and felt much the same as the others, perfect for slightly clumsy, inane riffage/soloing

So this is what a Chapman thread looks like without any insults?

Chappers, who is that then? And why has he named himself after some pants with the arse cheeks cut out of them?

Something something “Chappers Hair” something something “uninspired shredding” something something “not jealous” something something “don’t see the appeal” something something “Phil X”

Think that about covers it all.

Who is Ricky Tomlinson? And why is he named after a low budget 12 speed racing bicycle from the mid 70's?

Every Chapman I've played thus far has been pretty uninspiring tbh. They always seem to be too heavy, not resonant enough and just feel a bit cheap. Not my thing.

I played one of the tele ones ages ago...probably when they first came out i think...so things may have changed.

like everyone else has said, there's nothing special about them compared to LTD, Ibanez etc. I guess, you'd buy Chappers over the others because you have some affinity with him, his brand and what he stands for (not sure what that is).

nothing bad with it...i could just a lot of other options at the same price point that were more interesting.

Careful. You're dangerously close to being sued by Taylor Swift. ;)

I played one of the early Chapman single cut models owned by a friend. It was OK.

I don't get the Chappers hate. Though the Andertons videos are evidence that no matter what guitars you have access to they'll ask sound the same if your playing and rig don't vary.
