This was painted with aniline dye that fades,  it took quite a while for that to fade because i purposely did a really strong cherry burst, I'd say initially it's like 2 sessions of a day in the sun
The red will carry on fading btw
The other one i did the red virtually disappeared in a couple of weeks with hardly any sun

Maybe an extreme example though, as I hear blue fades faster, but in this case the waxed humbuckers had leaked and there were a few areas upon close inspection that clearly were in the shade.. around knobs etc..
