So that's an original mint 1961 Stratocaster? Good grief, it's fantastic!
and they just invested in new strings!

Yes - didn’t wanna change the strings in case the vintage tone hounds considered it less worthy - lol

@lovestrat74 ; - is that the stock finish on the Baja? If so, which one?

The one on the right gets most of my attention - 2010 Custom 22 semi-hollow in Angry Larry finish.  57/08s with coil tap tone knob make it very versatile for covers work.

The NF-3 is gorgeous, but struggles to get much of a look in.

It is @Boromedic - one of the best pieces of musical gear I ever bought, it gets gigged a LOT.

Awesome! I have a 2x12 BP combo which I may have to sell but god it's a great amp! I especially love the Red Fangs they are superb speakers, the 4x10 looks lovely

The Fret King has been getting used a lot but recently enjoying the lp again

How do you find the Fret King? I’m rather drawn to the shape of these and I really like the look of the single pickup one.  Is it comfortable, heavy, neck dive? .
I really like the fret king, mine is the blue label version which is all mahogany with rosewood board. Hardware is gotoh stuff with Wilkinson pickups although I've nailed a bareknuckle in the bridge. It is quite a heavy guitar, on par with a decent les Paul, but I have never experienced neck dive with it. It does feel physically bigger than a Lp, and the neck feels longer, but it's not uncomfortable to play. The neck is slim but not skinny and has better upper fret access than a lp, it has the 12" radius like a lp. It's a very resonant guitar and is well made.

Since I participated in the great Les Paul stampede two weeks ago it's this:

Probably could get better pictures if I wasn't using a 4 year old phone.

    Yes.

At least I bought it first up and didn't buy an R8 as well. :)

It doesn't just look nice.  It sounds plays well and sounds great as well.  I had a 2010 R8 before but this one seems a lot more articulate.  I know the post 2013 ones have a better reputation since they removed the sheath around the truss rod.  I suspect the Custom Buckers are better than the old Burstbuckers as well.  Whatever the reason it sounds really good.

The one I'm always harping on about.

Bought new (probably from 2003 stock though) in January 2004 for £304 including hardcase, it's been my number one ever since. The neck has aged beautifully and is a lovely warm colour compared to the pale maple on most new Mexican Teles, The only thing I've changed is the pickups from the standard ones to Samarium Cobalt Noiseless. Some don't love their slightly more well-behaved tone but it's perfect for the big open, effects-laden spacey stuff I play. The neck is the best I've ever played, and was even better than the Teles from the same batch I tried in shops - as this was a blind internet order, I'm amazed how lucky I was. The guys in the shop who upgraded my pickups in 2008 couldn't put it down.

This was my third ever guitar, and I've bought and sold a lot since, but this one isn't going anywhere.
