Allegedly there are Scottish roots somewhere in the family, but I’ve never worn a kilt. Which you should all be mighty grateful for, as I’ve no doubt I would look a complete twat.

I'm just back from a brass band tour in Poland which involved me wearing a kilt in 30 deg C temperatures. Heavy wool is no fun in the heat.... However on the last day I did get stopped by a very good looking woman who told me I looked great. Almost had an embarrassing moment as a result Turns out she was a Polish teacher who works in Glasgow who was home for the holidays.

That looks quite long - when it comes to kilt wearing, length is everything. Too long and it looks like a skirt, too short and it looks like an er... skirt.

Mine was long so there was plenty of material for my gut
